The beach is only 30 metres in length and is semi circular and is not possible to see the sea from the beach since it is blocked off by the cliff face.
The sea comes into the beach via a series of cracks in the cliff wall. It is of course, ideal for bathing, due to its extraordinarily quiet waters.

Its a wide expanse of sand with only a few people on it and perfect for a day on the beach in peace.
The beach actually has a fantastic little cafe/bar on it which is well worth visiting.
El Visa Beach Bar
We we’re in need of a really good coffee and some food and the El Visa beach bar was a blessing and the food was really good.
It’s right on the beach and if you are there on an evening it looks a really lively place to have a been and chill.
Playa de la Isla
At the far end of the bay we come across yet another hidden treasure, Playa de la Isla Beach.
This coastal gem promises pilgrims and travelers a serene and picturesque escape. There is even an Albergue right on the beach.
A Hidden Paradise Near Colunga
Playa de la Isla Beach is a secluded paradise situated near the town of Colunga. Its unspoiled beauty and tranquil ambiance make it an ideal stop for those seeking a peaceful retreat amid their pilgrimage.

Hotel Bahia
The Hotel Bahia is set on the beachfront in La Isla and features a terrace with sea views and an on-site bar.
It offers free WiFi, sea views and a TV in all rooms and you can step out of the hotel directly onto the beach. An amazing experience.
