Our old friend from Zubiri, Ulrich van Scnitzelberger, was alive and noisy last night in our 24 person room with, what felt like, his cousins, brothers and friends as well.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Noise was unbelievable. One of the key bits of advise I was given on my second day on the Camino Frances was to use your <strong><a class=\"thirstylink\" title=\"bouchons d&#039;oreille\" href=\"https:\/\/followtheyellowshell.com\/fr\/recommends\/ear-plugs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Ear Plugs<\/a><\/strong> every night and use them properly. Watch your footing when you take this section of the trail.<\/p><p>If you have any hot spots on your feet this is a section that will really hurt, so make sure you are taking care of your feet with a good blister regime.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To keep any hot spots or blisters at bay i follow the same regime for all my walks on the Camino.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">J'emporte toujours 3 paires de <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3MsfH1N\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chaussettes en laine m\u00e9rinos<\/a><\/strong> et changez-les au moins une fois dans la journ\u00e9e. The walk down from El Acebo was just as tough as the walk down from the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/followtheyellowshell.com\/fr\/cruz-de-ferro-camino-iron-cross-explained\/\">Crux de Ferro<\/a><\/strong> to El Acebo.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c1ffdbc elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" crossing a large medieval bridge knows as the &#8216;Bridge of Pilgrims&#8217;.<\/p><p>It is a really lovely village and one of the most popular and beautiful stops on the Camino Frances.<\/p><p>We stopped and had our mid morning Cafe con Leche and relaxed in the early morning sunshine.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-05c7039 to Cacabelos but about 8km away from here is the fantastic city of Ponferrada with only 1 village to pass through on route which is Campo.<\/p><p>The trail on route is pretty boring but I&#8217;ve been looking forward to visiting\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ponferrada\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Ponferrada<\/b><\/a>\u00a0the whole trip so can&#8217;t wait to get is a busy town on the Camino de Santiago and well worth having as a stage stop over if you get the chance.<\/p><p>As with most towns and villages in Spain there is a really large town square surrounded by bars and cafes and perfect for chilling in the sunshine with a cold beer and some tapas.<\/p><p>It is also surrounded by small cobbled side streets and is only a few minutes away from A fantastic Knights templar sword and shield.
