Esa fue una de las principales razones por las que decidimos alargar la ruta y llegar hasta Hospital de Orbigo, a poco m\u00e1s de 32 km.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a52e5c2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a52e5c2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">\u00bfC\u00f3mo est\u00e1 el tiempo en el Camino en mayo?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a93c7f8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a93c7f8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>El clima estaba nublado y ventoso, lo cual en realidad es muy agradable para caminar en lugar del sol abrasador y caluroso.<\/p><p>El mes de mayo es una \u00e9poca fant\u00e1stica para recorrer el Camino. El tiempo suele ser muy agradable, con temperaturas c\u00e1lidas durante el d\u00eda y noches y ma\u00f1anas algo m\u00e1s frescas. Un tiempo perfecto para recorrer cualquiera de las rutas del Camino a Santiago de Compostela.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element Camino es bastante f\u00e1cil ya que pasamos por los peque\u00f1os pueblos de Trobajo del Camino y La Virgen del Camino.<\/p><p>Despu\u00e9s de 12 km caminamos por un encantador pueblecito, Valverde de la Virgen, y tuvimos que tomarnos un tiempo para hacer fotos de la arquitectura y los s\u00edmbolos del Camino.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-9d0ea70 elementor-widget elementor-widget-image\" data-id=\"9d0ea70\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"image.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div Hab\u00eda salido el sol y hac\u00eda mucho calor, pero a\u00fan nos quedaban otros 5 km hasta llegar al fabuloso pueblecito de Hospital de \u00d3rbigo y la historia de Don Suero de Qui\u00f1ones.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f513b40 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f513b40\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Hospital de \u00d3rbigo<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6b51495 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6b51495\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Llegamos a nuestro destino sobre las tres de la tarde, agotados y sedientos tras recorrer casi 33 km. El Hospital de Orbigo es un pueblo hist\u00f3rico y, a primera vista, tiene un aspecto fant\u00e1stico. Es uno de los puentes m\u00e1s largos y mejor conservados de Espa\u00f1a.<\/p><p>En un principio, los romanos construyeron el puente sobre el r\u00edo Orbigo para unir Le\u00f3n con la capital de la provincia, Astorga. En el a\u00f1o 1184 ya hab\u00eda varios hospitales a ambos lados del r\u00edo que prestaban asistencia a los peregrinos en su camino hacia Santiago.<\/p><p>El principal punto de inter\u00e9s tur\u00edstico de Hospital de \u00d3rbigo es su puente medieval, que es realmente asombroso. La tradici\u00f3n dice que aqu\u00ed tuvo lugar el lance de justas m\u00e1s famoso en 1434.<\/p><p>En 1434 el caballero medieval Don\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-4);\"><span style=\"color: var(--ast-global-color-3);\">Suero de Qui\u00f1ones fue despreciado por una mujer que amaba as\u00ed que organiz\u00f3 un torneo de justas desafiando<\/span>\u00a0todos los hombres de rango igual para un torneo que les permitiera cruzar el puente. Si los derrotara, mantendr\u00eda su honor.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-4);\">El torneo fue un asunto serio y dur\u00f3 casi un mes, durante el cual Don Suero afirm\u00f3 haber roto m\u00e1s de 300 lanzas derrotando a todos los que lo desafiaron mientras defend\u00eda el puente. Luego viaj\u00f3 a Santiago para agradecer el honor de haber defendido el puente.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-4);\">En 1468, Don Suero de Qui\u00f1ones fue finalmente asesinado por un caballero al que hab\u00eda derrotado en 1434, llamado Gutierre de Quijada.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"background-color: var(--ast-global-color-4);\">Hasta hoy todav\u00eda hay un torneo de justas cada a\u00f1o cuando el pueblo celebra la fiesta de Passo Honrosso a principios de junio.<\/span><\/p><p>Durante el fin de semana del festival, los vecinos de Hospital de \u00d3rbigo se visten con ropa medieval y recrean escenas t\u00edpicas del siglo XV. Hay caballeros armados con espadas y escudos, as\u00ed como monjes, campesinos, camareras, arqueros y doncellas con hermosos vestidos de terciopelo.\u00a0<\/p><p>Hay una arena de justas y un mercado medieval en la ciudad que es visitada tanto por turistas como por peregrinos.\u00a0<\/p><p>Si tienes la suerte de estar en Hospital de \u00d3rbigo cuando el festival est\u00e1 en pleno apogeo, es una experiencia incre\u00edble del Camino.
