Do you need a guidebook to walk or ride the Camino de Santiago<\/a> ?<\/p>\n

The answer is No, <\/strong>not really but they can be really helpful.<\/p>\n

I am asked this question all the time and the honest answer is you don’t need one but the benefits of using one on your journey can be numerous, especially for a new Pilgrim.<\/p>\n

If you are an experienced long distance walker and have walked The Camino before you can get by without a guidebook quite easily and just follow the yellow shell camino symbols. <\/p>\n

There are 1000\u2019s of walkers that do this every year wanting to let the \u2018camino spirit\u2019 take them along the path. I have done this before and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it just letting the day take me wherever it takes me.<\/p>\n
